I bought an LG 37LZ55 a week ago from Curry's after negotiating a good deal, and I was very pleased with it. Unfortunately, a friend's child has put a number of small scratches on the screen with a metal implement, on the far right of the panel. From a distance, when the picture is dark you cannot see them, but if the picture is light, or a face is in the area of the scratches, then they are noticeable.

We took out a three year warranty but I was wondering whether this would be covered?
How significant would the scratches have to be to be able to claim?

I would be interested to hear about other people's experiences with warranties and insurance claims.

I would be amazed if this was covered under a standard warranty but you may be able to claim on your contents insurance policy. This may come under the Accidental Damage category?
