We have accidentally scratched the screen on our 12 month old Panny :( I've got accidental cover with lloyds TSB, has anyone any experience of claiming with them?

The TV is in perfect working order apart from the scratch, which if the TV is on and you are at viewing distance you can't see, but when its off its as clear as mud..

Dealer can easily replace the outer glass , the plasma screen itself is behind this !

The recent Panasonic plasma models do not have an outer glass planel. The only way to remove a scratch would be to replace the plasma panel which costs £740 plus about £150 in labour costs.

But the OP's TV is a V with a single sheet of glass front panel ?

Thanks for the replies, just need to decide whether to claim or not I guess.

Neither the V20 nor VT20 had a separate sheet of glass in front of the plasma panel. You may be thinking of the V10 of VT30 models.
