Anyone remember the Rag and Bone Man from the 1960’s and earlier? Only us old timers such as myself will remember this!
That is so funny you say that. Just today I was putting out an old trampoline frame for the scrap man and a beaten up white transit pulled up and took it.They're still around, but now drive beaten up white transit vans and pay no tax.
And advertise on FBThey're still around, but now drive beaten up white transit vans and pay no tax.
Football pools, those were the days My Grandad had a man for that when we used to go visit. He also doubled up as the spot the ball man.We also had the Corona pop lorry ...... mmmmm D&B !
There was also beer ... I don't remember it myself but remember the adverts for Davenport's Beer At Home .......
Milk man, Ice Cream van, Sally Army, Football Polls Man .... the streets were alive with traders and preachers !

Yes they were still around in the early 80sYes, I think they were still around in the early 80s.
The ones near where I grew up (a small town outside Liverpool) used to collect mainly old clothes, and have back plates and saucers, and balloons in return.
As kids, we often used to raid the clothes cupboards when we saw them coming and got some balloons.
But mum wasn't too happy when she could not find her clothes...
My dog would go bat shit crazy when the pool man knocked on the doorWe also had the Corona pop lorry ...... mmmmm D&B !
