Looks good and I like the way Ben is getting titles that haven't already had premium releases and isn't just packaging an already world wide exclusive steel in a bit of cardboard with a collectible number just for profit

This movie has been released on steelbook plenty of times worldwide.
The exact same steelbook is shared with the UK (Zavvi) and Europe (Italy etc...)
Asia probably too, so this is just packaging a worldwide release (same with the mummy etc...)
Artwork of the steelbook is bad (imo)
Instead of releasing so many crap artwork versions of this movie, they should fight a bit more and get a real exclusive that actually looks good.

Their first release (Shaun of the Dead) was handeld so badly that some folks that paid in January are still waiting to get their full slip dispatched.

I've not seen this steelbook artwork anywhere before but then I've not bought the film as never watched it, if it's been released already then I wasn't aware :)

Also I did say premium release as alot of major players in the premium world all keep releasing marvel/dc or other titles that another premium company has released (terminators an example) :)

I agree SOTD was handled badly and I hope they now know what is required of them in order to keep the buyers happy, I didn't realise people were still waiting for their copies and thought that had all blown over a while back.

Yeah Zavvi announced it at the start of the month:

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (Zavvi Exclusive) (Blu-ray Steelbook)

I agree SOTD was handled badly and I hope they now know what is required of them in order to keep the buyers happy, I didn't realise people were still waiting for their copies and thought that had all blown over a while back.

Only the other day I saw some say their copy had finally been dispatched, honestly it's shockingly bad to put it mildly. I know Ben has said repeatedly that what has plagued the Shaun release won't happen again for future releases and I hope that's really the case but a lot of damage has been done so he's got his work cut out to win many over again.

What was their second release ? My mate only got his Shaun of the Dead last week, he paid for it in Jan. I hate Scott Pilgrim, so it's not worth the bother for me. Looks good imo though.

They've not had a 2nd release yet as far as the exclusives go, this one is part of their "blu pick series" (WWA steels) which is separate from their exclusives (WEA), the next exclusive should be Hot Fuzz.

So far, Exclusives: #001 Shaun of the Dead

Blu Pick series: #001 Killer Klowns from Outer Space, #002 The Mummy Trilogy and #003 Scott Pilgrim

I only went for premium when the steelbook artwork was exclusive, but the words exclusive or limited have become marketing tools more then anything else. Even for Asia (look at Gladiator, maybe even L.A confidential or Kingsman Confirmed different :smashin:)
Premium is another marketing word.

To be honest, Eblu have a lot of work to do and they really didn't start off well.
Their first Exclusive (SOTD) was a copy of the previous horizontal release, anything else they have released (appart from Killer Clowns) is shared worldwide.

I'm definitely not jumping on exclusive or limited steelbooks like i used too.
