any views on these sets
They are budget models but not bad for the price. ASDA sold a load of them last year. I don't know if they still do.
The 32" WS versions cannot handle NTSC although the 28" versions can.
I dont think they could be any worse than sony!
No ? No what
Only thing about them is that you DON'T get the extra feature at no extra cost found in Sony FQ & FS sets. The scrolling bars !!!
Schneider were among the first to miniaturize TV chassis, but from what I have heard they are for the most part Philips clones. Their design and model naming is more often than not a bit weird, so be prepared.
I saw a write up on them when they first appeared here in the UK...... must be about six years or so ago now.....
The write up was very good! and talked of an excellent picture quality...... but I seem to recall it lacked features of many of its counterparts.........
Asda are the main suppliers in the UK.......
their £130 speaker system got a very good write up about a year ago..... if anyones interested!
I have a Schneider Scinema 32" ws tv and it has been great. It does playback NTSC signals with no problem - perhaps there are more than one 32" Schneider tvs? It's about 4 years old now, maybe newer ones don't do NTSC?
Only minor downside is only 2 scarts, one for RGB and one for S-video (both do composite), but not at all bad for the price (£399) and a 3-year warranty.
