Scart upgrade for SD sky box to Plasmatv - worth it?

Hi,

I currently have my panny SD sky box connected to my panny 37px60 plasma via a cheap unbranded scart which I bought from ASDA a good few years ago. Now, the picture quality is pretty good when watching stuff like CSI, films, plus a host of other material, e.g. natural world programmes. It doesn't compare to my upscaling dvd player via hdmi, but it aint that far off.

I want to know if a reasonable upgrade in scart cable will show any improvement over what I have at the moment. Basically, will buying a sub 30 quid scart blow my mind, or should I stick to the ASDA quality?

TIA, Steve

A new SCART no matter how expensive wouldn't blow your mind. However, what is just -- if not more -- important is that the SCART lead goes from the TV SCART socket on the Sky, to the AV1 (or another RGB capable) socket on the Panasonic.
Go into the Sky Services > System Setup > Picture setings menu and make sure the picture output is set to RGB.

If you do get a new lead, there is no real need to go over £15.

If the lead you have is fully screened you're not going to see a massive difference. If you're looking for a good cable at a reasonable price we have the 1.5m Thor at 16.99 inc delivery.
