I have a source (Homchoice TV box) that only has a scart out connection.

I have one of those 7.5 inch portable TV's that only has:
    (1) an "ANT in" earphone type small socket (i have a wire changing this to aerial), and
    (2) a USB socket that says "A/V" (not sure if its an IN or OUT socket.

I think I need something that will convert the SCART signal to my aerial in socket.

Is there a cheap "cable" type way of doing this? or do I need to spend more on a whole converter box type system.

Really looking for a cheap budget way of doing this, if it can be done at all ... hmm

Wuld really appreciate some help - thanks in advance if you can ... (maybe this will be an excuse for me to go buy a big ol' plasma TV heh)

You need a 'modulator' device, or a cheap VCR with an AV input ;)

I know, the USB port confused me - not sure how it can be used lol.

Its a 7" LCL monitor/tv. Its small and portable. I have it on while working at my pc, sits niceley next to my PC monitor (multitasking!). Also move it to the bathroom, or kitchen if I want to watch some TV there, quite useful actually.

The manual you posted shows an AV adaptor cable, with two video inputs a sound input and a 12V supply input

The fact that it looks like a USB connector doesn't make it a USB cable.

Maplin Electronics do an RF modulator which accepts a scart input for £29.99 - Maplin item No. VH89W
