Scart to component on a VCR

I still have some cherished VCR tapes that I have been trying to improve the picture quality. My thought was that I could use my JS Techology scart to component converter and then feed the component signal through an Iscan HD+ to my plasma but absolutly nothing! Completly blank screen even if I take the scaler out of the loop and just connect to the component inputs on the plasma still no picture.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks

Which model of SCART to component converter do you have (or post a link) ?
The VCR will only produce Cvbs and I am wondering if your converter expects to see RGB input; VCRs do not output RGB.

Thanks for the quick reply.

This is the link and I think you answered the question, it only does RGB, I didn't realise that a scart on a newish VCR would not output RGB.

Just to make it clear:

A regular VHS machine will do RF or composite.
An S-VHS machine will do RF or composite or S-Video from both VHS tapes or S-VHS tapes.
