i am in the process of making up a rgb scart to scart using ixos multi core cabling going between sky digibox and panasonic 42 viera plasma. my problem is that i don't know which pin to use in the scart for the sync signal.
any help would be helpful as one of leading av shops in edinburgh as no idea after 5 weeks.

Well from the link I provided you can get the following information as use for all the pins in a scart plug are listed.

    Red : pin15
    Green : pin 11
    Blue : pin 7

pin 20 is not listed as a sync signal but as composite video. However this pin (or pin 19 depending on signal direction) is used as the RGB sync when useing an RGBS signal.

thank's for the info.but i tend to get a bit confused when the so called experts at a certain leading av dealers in edinburgh could'nt work out how to wire it up . i looked at the diagram on the site you recommended and it was as you say obvious how to go about it but after the crap i got from the dealers i just did'nt know what to do.
anyway thanks i'll get on and get it made.
