Just want to confirm where the synch is on a SCART output. Searching the forum, it appears to be RGB + synch on composite - ie 4 cables required.

Is this correct or is it implementation dependant? I Have a Pace Twin Freeview recorder outputting on scart. My TV will take RGB over the 3 RCA component input and I am investigating using my component (YUV) switcher for switching RGB too. The manufacturers imply that the sucess of this is dependant on synch being on green or on composite - they have not yet said which - I suspect it will only work with synch on green - 3 cables.

Is it possible to convert between synch on green or on composite?

    Thanks

    Ian

USA have sync on green (3 wires)
UK have sync on composite (4 wires)
