I have a crappy scart lead from argos. I think it was about £8. My mate has a scart lead which he paid £60 for. Last night we swapped scarts and we could see no difference in picture quality between the two. Are we getting ripped off then by paying silly prices for these scart leads???

    cheers,
    shaun

Were you using RGB output ?
I have Ixos and QED scarts, compared to standard fully screened scarts I see a slight benefit used with RGB.
Would I buy them again ? Probably..... to see result.

yeah I was using RBG. I could not see any difference. Certainly not a difference to make me spend an extra £50 plus

I switched to IXOS RGB SCARTS recently and there is DEFINATLEY an improvement in picture quality. Subtle, but noticable.

A m8 of mine bought a few at the same time and he too noticed a marked improvement in pic quality.
