    Hi

I'm currently in a quandry over which SCART lead to purchase. After a bit of searching I can't find an answer to my question in this forum so any thoughts would be appreciated...

I want to know whether given my setup of a 32in Sony CRT Widescreen TV and Limit DVD player I would see any difference in quality (I know this is subjective but humour me ;) ) between the following SCART cables in my shortlist:

    1) QED P2110
    2) IXOS XHT601/611
    2) IXOS XHT801

These are deliberately listed in order of ascending price and I really want a cable that I will not need to replace if I change my kit (and still require a SCART) - I would rather spend a few quid more now than have to throw it away later and start again...

If anyone can offer any insight and in particular tell me whether the IXOS XHT801 (which I can get for about 35 quid) would be realistically better than the QED P2110 (which will set me back 25 quid) given the price difference. Is one a much better cable?

Also, does anyone have any other cable to recommend and include reasons, price point and supplier please :smashin:

    Cheers in advance...
    Jim

I very much doubt whether the difference would be noticeable with a Limit DVD player on a 32" television.

Maybe if there were differences they would be more apparent on larger screens and projectors. I use a £20 QED scart on my 32" TV

As Ian says the difference right now as long as you are using a good cable may not shine through but the XHT801 is a £70 cable so at £35 it sounds like it would be worth the investment in preperation for upgrading!

All these scart you mention are excellent. However i recently bought a qed to connect my tv to sky and was disappointed .I tested it side by side with a cheapo made more of a difference with dvd than sky.
