    I have acquired a US Playstation 2.
Although I get a colour picture using the composite lead I get "greenscreen" when trying to use a scart lead. Any suggestions as to how I can use a scart lead successfully?
(my TV is NTSC compatible of course)

Assuming your trying to play a dvd....Sony enabled the macrovision protection for the rgb output of the PS2 when playing a dvd (composite is ok). Region X "fixes" this (as well region free) in software or you can mod the ps2 to permanently disable this. The picture will then be black and white if your tv doesn't support ntsc 3.58 and the dvd is ntsc because the ps2 doesn't convert ntsc unlike stand alone dvd players.

    Other alternative are
    i) PS2 S-video lead (no greenscreen)
ii) PS2 Component video cables (assuming your telly supports component inputs. No green-screen on this either)
