    Hi all,

I have narrowed down my choice of new TV to the 32PL1 or 32PL10, but can't seem to find any consistent information about the SCART sockets on each ...

Does anyone know whether they both accept RGB and SVIDEO signals on one or both of their SCART sockets ??

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards,

    Adam Brunt

On Pansonic website it states, AV1 is RGB and AV2 is S - Video
and it states AV 4 is S-Video and RGB in for the 32PL10.

    I have a 32PL10. It has 2 x SCART at the rear. AV1 is RGB, AV2 is S-video. AV3 is a mini-din S-video (on front and rear).

I was dissapointed with only 2 x SCART which is a headache with Digibox/DVD needing to be share AV1. My old PK20 was better equiped:(

Check out the other Panny ranges as they are better sorted SCART wise.

I hook DVD player to VIDEO SCART connector of the Digibox and then another cable from Digibox TV SCART to AV1 SCART input of the Panasonic. It works like a dream.
Watch Digibox then start DVD and it takes over. Shut down DVD and watch Digibox again.
Check if your Digibox has two SCART connectors.

My VCR takes up that position right now. DVD goes S-video staright to TV AV2. Can I daisy chain the DVD/VCR to maintain RGB and not suffer Macrovision interference when I am taping from the Digibox?

I have a 28PL4, I tried to link my DVD to the digibox and plug into RGB socket on T.V, but the quality of the DVD was shocking. Sort of a grainy effect?

I now have DVD into AV2 and digibox and video in AV1. DVD is better, although I do get interference, from whatever channel is on SKY.

    Any ideas?

It must depend on how your digibox does the switch over, it may not connect all necessary signals correctly. My box is Finlux DVB 410-C.

In my PL1 AV1 takes in rgb and AV2 only s-video and composite signals. That is why I prefer to connect DVD and digibox to AV1 and video to AV2.

For DVD interference. Try to switch off all sources other than DVD.
Switch to analog tv channel 0 and make sure the screen is black i.e. VCR channel is selected. Chain antenna cables digibox > video > tv.
