Has anyone got any details on the SCART board for the Panny 5 range? Part number TY-42TM5T ?

The picture in the manual shows it has SCART and Component inputs so I'd hope that would give you RGB, Component and VGA [and the ability to run S-Video/composite through the SCART socket if required...] anyone know?

    Cheers,
    Neil.

Does this mean that auto widescreen switching will also be possible (via SCART pin 8) once this board is installed?

I cannot answer your question Binesh but Panasonic specifically advise against running 16:9 panels in 4:3 mode. You can illuminate the Side Panels but that does not look very good.

    Hello all

The SCART boards are not available as yet in the UK and I would be wary of looking at the specs in other regions as the boards may be 'adapted' to meet UK regulations.

    Best regards

    Joe

    According to Panasonic UK.

"We would have to get 50 scart terminal boards in and we don't think we could sell them"

Or does that read "If we were to make the scart boards available to the UK, people wouldn't buy the more expensive tuner box"

Sometimes I wonder who work in the marketing depts of these big companies:confused:
