Anybody used one of these in a HCPC?
i use the hollywood+ from sigma designs with the remote control as well.........
works fine with svhs to tv (32"), but i think it only compares with an average dvd standalone...
i think most people use their hcpc for scaling the image/deinterlacing for projectors, rather than to use with tv`s?
i`m pretty sure the quality isnt as good as a software player either if used on a monitor.....i dont think so anyway....
also good for low spec pcs(runs on my old amd k6-2 450 fine)
good for multi region with"zone select" shareware/freeware etc - also disables macrovision.....
hope this helps
Sigma have a replacement on the market named the x-card? It is more versatile than its predessor, being configurable to feed RGB, component video and the basic HD scan rates. It is no Radeon beater, but seems ok for those who wish to display on a TV.
Separate names with a comma.
