Great, i had my mind set on a pw7. now i've read about ph7, how good it is and how using a scaler will get the best possible picture.
could someone explain what a scaler does please. Also why a ph7 would look better with a scaler.
    pw7 or ph7 if you didn't have a scaler
    Thanks

That is the eternal Q mate PW7 + scaler or PHD7 no scaler????AS they cost very similar amounts £2.5k ish...............
a sclaer is a video processor it takes all forms of video composite from VCR S-video from cansole RGB from Sky and Component from DVD and converts each one into signal of choice usually 720p via RGBHV for good results on a PW7 so it converts and scales an image to macth display (plasma do this internally but a scaler will often outperform the panels own electronics) give this a read http://www.dvdo.com/pro/pro_ishd.html
