scaler for pv500 ? anybody!!

Having read a lot on these forums about scalers and being an owner of a 42pv500 i was wondering if anyone has connected a scaler to their pv500. If so was it worth the outlay ie: has it made noticable improvements to picture quality Asking as i will probably purchase one if improvements are noticable, its not that im not happy with the pic quality now cos i am its just that i want to get the best possible preformance out of my display

You can apparently do it through your VGA port. I read on the Scaler forum (just below this one) that Gordon did one recently enough. I believe it does improve PQ immensely though the concensus seems to be that it is not as striking a difference than with a panel.
