    Hi guys..

    quick question..

I am currently feeding my NTL Digital box into a JSim RGB->VGA converter for use on my panny W3 (yes yes i know its dated now..:p) plasma. All of my other sources (DVD, Consoles etc) deliver progressive, so thats fine, but the picture from NTL, although i've tolerated it, could be a lot better.

So.. my question for the group is...

Is it worth investing in an IScan type product to increase the picture quality of my NTL.. or am i likely not to see a difference?

What else could i do to improve things.. without spending a small orune?

Advice comments on what others have done are welcome..

    Cheers,
    Kev

i have just last week bought a iscan ultra for my toshiba 42wp16(panny 4 clone)
and was thinking is this any differance till i watched the liverpool football match and the grand prix this weekend alot less jaggies and smoother lines. it does add a bit of lip sync though and every not and then sort of judders but only every now and then.

in all vey happy with it.

using ntl digital and a js tech component conveter and a vanndame vga lead.

ps using the interlased output of my progressive philips 962sa dvd player into it as i think its better than the on board progressive on the dvd player.

got mine for £350 deliverd off ebay.
there is a iscan pro on there for £150 at moment

If you're looking to buy an Iscan there's an Iscan Ultra on eBay at them moment, alternatively my Extron is also up there.

I was going to sell on the forum but just couldn't work out what was a fair price to ask.

    Mark.
