SC-HT1000 or QP-8ESAL

    I think I've narrowed it down to the new Panasonic SC-HT1000 or JVC QP-8ESAL DVD Recorder Home cinema system!

    Not bothered about price difference but the following are important;
    1) Multi region would be nice.
    2) Picture quality on recording and playback.
    3) NTSC and PAL prog scan for connection to plasma next year
    4) 2 or 3 optical or co-axial digital sound inputs, need optical for sky+, one for DVD recorder and maybe another for DVD player if the above can't be multi-regioned. I hate the idea of plugging, unplugging etc and buying extra switch boxes, splitters, combiners etc.

    Any body actually got hold of either of these systems? Would you be so kind as to pass on your comments?
