Friday 25th May
11.40pm Saving Private Ryan HD1

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't seen this film. The DD5.1 soundtrack is amazing and had me ducking to avoid the shells whistling over my head!

Definitely worth a watch!

It's a Spielberg so there is a good section of the audience who will not be happy with the look of the movie despite it's obvious relevance to the subject matter:(

I can only see it showing on Sky Modern Greats, Friday 27th June, which means it's only in 'sud' not in the 'hud'... :(

..it's still in 'dobly' though. :)

Silly me, I took it from a link that was from an email from Sky!

It's here! Just so you know I'm not bonkers (and I haven't been drinking Ken!) :hiya: :D :rotfl:

Well today is apparantly Saturday 19th of May, my watch must be wrong because it clearly states it is the 17th.

Sky can't even get dates right.

Too true, there will always be some viewers out there on who's perception of HD is on a collision course with the directors intent :)

I think you will find that it is last years information!

Max, is this from a recent Sky email or had you clicked on an old one by mistake?

Well recent as in I got it last Friday (16th May)! It was the HD link from a current Sky Movies email. I suppose I'm just as big a pillock as they are for not checking the accuracy of the dates! You'd have thought they would have deleted the page by now, let alone link a current email to it!

I just saw the info and knowing what a good film it was, expecially the DD5.1 soundtrack, I thought I'd give the heads up, not considering for a moment the info was wrong! Well you wouldn't, would you? :D I will from now on! ;)

It was the numpties at Sky's fault, don't shoot the messenger! :rotfl:

Whatever it was, they appear to have stubbed it out and June is now in 2008! :D
