Saturday Night Freeview

This is going to sound crazy.

It seems that many (all?) Saturday nights my Freeview suffers from a poor picture.

For instance, for a couple of Saturdays in a row late at night there was suddenly no signal at all on any channels. On these cases analogue terestrial was knocked out also. The following day all was fine.

Tonight just before the X Factor the signal on the itv and channel 4 multiplexes was pretty poor and not really watchable but soon righted itself (just in time for the X Factor :)).

Have spoken to others with Freeview in this area and they have had similarly odd things.

I can live with it, but it just seems weird how it is only on a Saturday and signal is 100% all of the rest of the time.

PS The weather is good too...

I honestly do not know, but my aerial is pointing north north west and my postcode is NN8 (Wellingborough), I just copied my neighbours in terms of positioning!!!

I've had terrible trouble tonight between 6pm and approx 11pm from Sandy Heath. Causes my Toppy to crash

Wolfbane indicates you are also probably receiving from Sandy Heath.

I have two aerials on the house. The DAT75 with MRD managed to hold up a signal longer, but the other one (not sure what it is, it was on the house when we bought it) started playing up during XFactor. I took a look at analogue reception which is normally very good (for analogue) on the DAT75 and this was full of ghosting and interference.

Very annoying, but good to know it wasn't just me!!

Seems fine now.

Rob.
