    I'd put it down to dodgy translation - I assume it was more along the lines of it'd be good to have Ken here, but we don't necessarily want him. Then again if Nintendo did want him would he go back at being publicly snubbed at CES, or, would he want to get back at Sony?

    Either way, Nintendo don't exactly need him.

    And as a result Phillips had the rights to use Nintendo characters in very bad CD-i games.

    Anyone interested in the history of Nintendo should read a book called Game Over by David Sheff. It's a great read and very informative.

    I'll second that - later editions have been updated with more up to date chapters by Andy Eddy.

    Though slightly outdated the insight to their early history and struggle to create a market is well worth the read.

    I got a copy free on the cover of a magazine a couple of years ago. One of the first mature reads about the videogame industry. A great read.
