Satellite recording box

We need some advice. We have a satellite dish and have had Sky (with Sky Q box). We have cancelled our Sky subscription so the box is going back. We would like to find out if there’s a replacement box we can connect to the dish that will be able to record BBC, ITV, etc.? We are rural, with average internet, and streaming can be frustrating, so would prefer use satellite if possible.

I think these will work with your SkyQ Dish but check.
Make sure the recorder (PVR) you get is FreeSat not Freeview. Most PVRs are Freeview and work with an aerial not a dish.

The Humax box wont work with a Sky Q LNB, the LNB will need changing, lots of posts on here about it.

The Manhattan box wont work with a Sky Q LNB and does not record.

The Arris box will work but has issues, see the many owners threads re issues and complaints.
