    Hello all

my parents are coming over from Asia in June/July and in order that they can watch some movies and news from home, I want to investigate how to receive broadcast from Southeast Asia. Having read one or two posts here I gather that receiving the broadcast directly is not possible, what are the alternatives? (or is this a real silly question?! :nono: ) is there such a thing as relay?

on a (further) technical note, since I have never had anything other than four channels from the box, this will be my first time getting satellite (or cable). and in fact I am going to get a LCD TV too (most likely a Hitachi 32"). I don't want to buy the wrong kits, so --

    - what equipment do people recommend? (maybe to work with 32ld6200/7200)
    - What about equipment / service suppliers who know about getting Southeast Asian broadcast? (I am in Milton Keynes)

I am happy :) reading a fair amount of advice posts (as well as specific suggestion on equipment etc.) so :lease:help me out here! Thanks! I'll be trawling the rest of the forum in the following week but feel free to link me to relevant posts. :smashin:

    Cheers ;)

    David

I have a dish on the outside wall of my house, it's been there since I moved in some 4/5 years ago. no way to check if it's working, assuming it is! From http://www.satalogue.com/section8/page0a.htm, I can get the 139.99 or 99.99 to get sky channels. This sounds like I don't even need to subscribe to 19.50 sky family pack, is that right? The 99.99 is also on page http://www.satalogue.com/section8/page9.htm.

Am I going the right direction??:hiya:
