Hi all I bought a sat nav off ebay it worked fine until I tried to update it, but like they say if it aint broke dont fix it well I did like an idiot.

Its an RAC model number 215e and i wiped the memory card and know I cant find anywhere to download the maps I have tried route 66 Rac's official website, but they no longer have it due to the sat nav being old as they call it and they want over £30 for a disc, can anyone help or know where I might download what I need thanks all.

I believe he would be asking how he can restore the maps on the device which he has bought. They have accidentally been wiped so why should he have to pay to have them restored. If he was asking for map updates for free then thats a different story but as he is simply asking for the maps that have been deleted as part of a failed update be replaced I think he has a valid point.

Why shouldn't he? Why should the suppliers be expected to fund his carelessness? If you crash your car by accident, you wouldn't expect Ford to supply another at cost, would you? Accidents are your problem. If you think you need to, take out insurance.

I take it shoving a pin into the 'reset' hole on the back hasn't helped?
