I have a tom tom basic sat nav, and have been very pleased with it. I had decided to buy a parrot handsfree kit and just happened to comment that its a pity to have all these screens about and that it would be good if one did everything. I was told some do so thats where I'm at.

I don't need anything complicated and have done some research. Neither can I afford a lot, was thinking around £150. I was going to get another tomtom until I read on here about the garmin 760T, and was interested in the text to speech function, and also the fact that it gives the name of the roads to turn onto. In that thread it said they could be had for £175 but I can't find them at that price.

Also is the ''T'' significant as I can see some 760 without the "T'', are these the same?

And am I right to go Garmin? All advice gratefully accepted as always. Thanks.
