    Hi,

I will hopefully soon be taking delivery of a Sanyo Z2. I currently have a cable (buried in the wall which is component video to VGA, for my Toshiba projector.

I was going to simply cut the VGA connector off the end and connect 3 RCA connectors and use the component input, but does anyone know whether I can simply connect a DVI adaptor to the VGA connector and use that with the Sanyo.

I assume that this will just give component over DVI, and that the picture quality should be identical either way, unless I upgrade to a DVI output DVD player.
