    I have one.

The picture is about as good as I thought it would be (ie pretty good) although the deinterlacer is much worse than I thought.

It's now not powering up after about 35hrs of use, so reliability is not as good as I hoped either. :(

I'm projecting onto a second hand Owl electric screen which I've made remote controlled. It gives a pretty nice picture and makes my system feel complete.

    Cheers,
    Cal.

    Hi Liverpool

The do you own one question is to see how many of us Z1 owners are on the forum.Glad you are happy with your's,I can hardly keep from watching my pj.Already done nearly 20hrs since last Friday.

One thing I have noticed I already have 3 small (around 3" diameter) dust blobs to the left side of screen.I hope the pj is going to be easy to clean.

I am projecting onto a magnolia painted wall and the picture looks absolutely gorgeous, would a screen be much better.Have any owners with screens done a wall/screen comparison,if so what did you think?

Had mine about 3 months now, started off by building a 5ft screen, within a month i'd rebuilt the screen enlarging it by 18inches.
I input dvd via component (phillips 963)

I'm still virtually watching a film a night, may the honeymoon period never end.

Had mine about 2 weeks, set up about 1 week. Bloody great. 100% happy with it. Far better than I had expected after reading and worrying too much about non issues such as screen door, contrast and fan noise.

Projecting onto a 5' 8 " electric screen, better than the wall as it improves the colour a great deal.

    Regards,

    Captain Benefit.

    adiecc,

I see your using the 963 to connect to your Z1, are you using pal ps? Do you see any of the reported problems like vertical faint green lines? Anyone else using the 963 with the Z1?

7 months on, 260 hours on the clock, v v happy with it.

Using progressive scan DVD player, projecting on to a 110" diagonal screen (manual pull down).

Had mine for 6months now and it is still great.

I'm projecting to a painted wall.

No dust blobs, dead pixels, problem with the fan or VB

Pal and NTSC prog works lovely.

The only slight problem is that my room is too small therefore if I adjust the picture too sharp I can see the screen door problem. But due to the small room the optical lens shift facilities are a more bonus than the screen door issue which I can remove by diffusing the picture a tiny touch, but still have a comfortably sharp picture.

I wish it had a vertical keystone correction though.

    All in all 100% happy.

    Wasabi
