Screen door is the visible grid you get when the projector shines its light through the LCD panel.
The better the projector the less noticable the grid. ie the more compact the lcd is.
I have a panny AE100 and the screen door on this projector really annoys me. You can minimise it buy using a progressive scan or HTPC, although it is still there (obviously) you don't notice it as much.
The pannys are notoriously unrealiable, don't know much about the Sanyo, although its cousine the PLV60 were very highly regarded. The sanyo also has a larger wide screen panel which may be better for PAL.
    Hope this helps
    Azzo.

    Yes.

    Buy it.

    Buy it now.

    You won't regret it.

It is bloody stunning for the price.

buy it from www.nexnix.co.uk and ask for the dead pixel check they offer.

Theritz, was that concise enough for you?;) :D

    Matt,

Can't really tell you how many times I've checked to see if you'd spotted that post !

Have to say that if it were my choice right now, I'd probably go for the Sanyo too...... I'm just a teeenie bit jealous, but greatly relieved to have my AE100 back where it should be - off to watch LOTR - doing it in instalments, missus has short attention span !

    See ya,

    LOL :p :p :p

Anyway, you still happy with the PJ ? any cycling of the fan ?

Have to say, its a smashing looking piece of kit - prob the nicest looking pj around. I don't have a snowballs chance of seeing one in action, but screenshots (unreliability taken into account) look fine. That Skyworth was a bargain - PAL Prog for £50 - jammy bugger.

    All the best.
