I've just seen mention of the Sanyo PLV60 on AVS forum. They refer to the following web site selling them for $9k in April-May:
    http://www.medicalvideosystems.com/projectors/PLV60.htm

I'm guessing that this means we are likely to see it for £6-9k over here (no, Chris, I'm not trying to prompt you to comment - I'm happy to wait for the official announcement) which is a significant amount more than the PLV30 [IMG]

Damn, I'd really like a 16:9 device, but that's quite a premium to pay for it.

    Cheers,
    Liam

    I wrote several months ago:

I bet we won't get Sanyo PLV 60 for £4k over here. £6k maybe.

I thought then ,and still think now, that all these new super 16:9 LCD projectors will be at the $10k bracket (also see Yamaha). Sharp / Sony have a chance of coming in lower and taking the market with them but will they?

I hope I am wrong for the sake of the market but history.....

    Hi!

Sanyo projectors are known in the US for having a high SRP and then much lower street price. Therefore we might get lucky and have the projector for less than £6K. Let's wait and see. More importantly will be if it's performance are up to the 10HT 'blacks' challange...
