I need to get inside my PLV30 to clean out dust particles from the LCD panels, has anyone managed to get the lid off?
I have tried but it seems stuck down, is there a trick to it?
    Thanks

I'll have a go again in a couple of days, but i definitely got it off! Im positive of it!

On the noise front, its is annoyingly loud, but i dont think there is much we can do about that........unless for fan mods.

Hi,just how do us PLV 30 owners go about replacing the fans?
Are they standard PC like fans?

Thinking of doing a hush box ,but if i get a couple of the quiet PC fans ,how do i connect them up?

I am a IT engineer, but I have never looked into replacing the fan, will look in to it. If its a standard size then should be fairly simple.
But what I would really like to get sorted is the two large faint (but noticable) green blobs. Its definatly dust and sanyo say cleaning isnt included in there warranty (take note Z1 buyers!)
So they will charge me, if I can do it myself then i will.
excuse any bad spelling but its friday night and i'm ****ed.
    HELP!!!!!!
    clean that dust

Hi, just had a go at getting the top off and it came off very easily this time ,5 screws taken out and it does just lift off, maybe yours is stuck, there is a slight lip under the front silver fascia,so you have to slide it back slighly, but came off easy this time.

Please could you adivse me how to connect up two PC fans that i am getting for my hush box?

I know they are 12 v, looking on maplins site theres all sorts of power supply units ,but the fans im getting come with a 3 block connector.

    Any ideas?

Id be very careful trying to change the actual internal fan..... i know how hot the machine gets as it is and id hazard to guess you couldnt afford much less air movement without giving yourself problems..... If you could get some sort of quiet fan of the right specs it would be ok im sure..... when i get a chance, i too will look into this..... its probably my biggest problem with it
