Sanyo PLV-60 & LP-W1000

    I just noticed the following thread in the AVS forum: http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/005198.html

    It queries whether the PL-W1000 in a Sanyo press release (in Japanese) is the same as the PLV-60, as the PL-W1000 seems to have identical specs other than the contrast ratio (500:1 rather than 700:1).

    Does anyone here have any more information?

    This is the latest I've seen on the AVS thread:

    yesterday i`ve got the sanyo confirmation: the sanyo will be offered officially with 500 : 1 contrast and 1.200 ansi lumens.
