Sanyo plv 30 lamp gone already?

    I just bought this pj on saturday and i was just sitting there watching T2 and the lamp just went off,along with the green READY led,where have i gone wrong?
    If this is a sign of things to come im not convinced about these things.:mad:

    It sounds like you need a replacement PJ, where did you buy from?

    from sevenoaks,and are the bulbs really £420?

    You could ask www.av-sales.co.uk for a quote on a replacement lamp, but thats not a problem for you, you have a brand new PJ that just died, give sevenoaks a ring tomorrow, they should sort you out with a replacement PJ, it may be more than just the lamp that has gone wrong.

    Sounds like just plain bad luck. It happens. Don't let it put you off that pj, it's very good.

    Also don't admit to this in case sevenoaks read these forums!, but always switch the projector off using the remote or the off button on the projector, dont ever switch off from the mains!. Most projectors (all?) leave the fan running for about 2 mins to cool the bulb off therefore if you switch off at the mains the fan cant do its job.
