I have aquired this PJ, Sanyo PLC-8800N, and the original owner messed with the service menu settings. I am lookin for the factory settings and or the service manual that may contain these. I can get into the service manual. I want to set it back to the defaults. It is so bad that it is unusable.

    Thanks; Jakrabt :lease:

    Hi,
I as well would like to enter the service menu on my Sanyo PLC-8800N. I have a reddish ghosting to the left of objects I would like to try and correct. I can't find any info on getting into the menu and would really appreciate a bit of advice - Thanks a million!

    Well!

I figured it out! I was able to get rid of the ghosting!

I played with the video settings in the service menu and whammo - gone. I have one more issue to resolve now. Regardless of whether the settings are factory or my new settings, I have a very thin red horizontal line about 2/3 the way up ONLY IN CIELING MOUNT MODE. It's fine in normal mode. I played with a few settings I wasn't sure about (actually I'm not sure about anything!) and got nowhere - back to factory on those.

Any idea where the red line is coming from??

    Thanks!

    Marc,

I can't figure out how to get into the Service menu. Can you describe the steps you took?

    Thanks in advance.

Hold down the Menu and Normal Buttons and watch the screen . I believe the fine sync= and - buttons move the data window Up and down and the volume + and - change the
Value. the 11 12 and 13 numbers control the ghosting images. MAKE SURE YOU WRITE down the values before you change anything!! .
the 37 window tell you the Hours to replace Lamp Light comes on, it counts down from 1900
