I'm thinking of plumping for this TV here :-

    SANYO 28FWH4

It looks a very good deal for a 100hz TV, and £200 off is always a good price! Does anyone have it, or any other TV from Sanyo or any general advice? I have done a very exhaustive Internet search for TV's already.

I'm only guessing here but I suspect its a budget design made in Turkey by Vestel. Same as goodmans, bush and quite a few others. Its had a bit more restyling done but it does look like a vestel set. Vestel sets are reasonable well made and reliable. They basically use an older philips design chassis. So if its 100hz its probably based on older philips 100hz circuitry. If your after a 28" tv your better off with 50hz normally.

Yes, unless you are particularly affected by flicker, 100Hz is not usually considered necessary with 28" tubes.

A good 50 Hz display (minus all that processing) is usually the best bet.
