    I tried to use this but unfortuneatly the bloody belts slipped off and I have not a clue how it goes on. Any ideas?

    Just guessing, but I would have thought that the belt goes round something inside the platter and then gets looped round the brass pulley (upper left on your pictue) and through the 'hook' on the end of the speed-change arm just below the pulley. You would do this through a hole in the platter (under the mat).

    As I say, only guessing though.

    As above, but also just a guess, are you trying to fit a new belt, if not the old belt has probably stretched causing it to slip off.
