Sand Loading My AE 309s

    Can anybody advise me on sand loading my Acoustic Energy Aesprit 309s?

    Just got them today, how much should I put in? Are the results +? what sand should I use?

    Never been one to sand load my speakers. But I have found benefit by mass loading the speakers with a heavy weight on top to be of benefit (in certain situations).

    This can be done with paving slabs to start of with, and if it is of benefit, the appearance can be changed by getting some granite or marble cut to size.

    If you do sand load them, I would think you should use kiln dried sand..
