    Hi all :)

Been looking for some news on Samsung's 2014 plasmas and found this on AVSForum.

    Samsung PN64H5000

    Samsung 2014 PN64H5000 thread

It apparently has the same filter as the F8500 which could make it a great set for the money.
Cant wait to hear about the higher end models.

Nobody got any thoughts? Looks like a good start to me, if they're putting that on a lower end model they must have changed the top end....if there is one of course, bugger what if theres only this.:(

Well I haven't got the money still so can wait long enough.
If buying now the W9 would be the only LCD I think of getting going by what I've seen.

I'm sure I've read there's not going to be a top end 2014 Sammy plasma, just mid range, the choices available this year are terrible, it's definitely a transition to 4k year though who actually wants it unless it's OLED?

With no content or 4K players even what's the point, although if it was affordable I guess its future proofing, saw two 4K sets a couple weeks ago and detail was stunning.

    Hi All,

The PNxxH7000 Series are due to be launched later on - supposedly a feature stripped version of the 2013 F8500 Series an a cheaper frame/body.

    Suave!

Looking forward to the H7000 model if it has the F8500 panel.

for me to even think about getting another plasma,it would have to be better and cheaper than the zt65 for me to even consider splashing out on a 1080p set.would rather spend my money on a 4k led even though there is no content out at the moment if truth be told.Oled is the new thing now but just need prices to fall.

think plasma has had its day and time to let the old girl go out with some dignity instead of some inferior sets from samsung and LG sullying its name.:nono:

did think last years f8500 was a excellent set though and was the high input lag which put me off buying it

That's fine if you're willing to spend £1000+ but for some who don't have the means to buy top end TV's the picture quality of 'lesser' plasma's might still be a perfectly viable option. I had a 768p F4500 from last year for a few months and it had better picture quality than most 1080p LED's I have seen.
