Looks like this is an update of the non-HD WS32z408.

So it seems there has been an updated 408 and 409 now I wonder if the 419 is due a change?
(in the USA Samsung are selling a slimfit model with 2 x HDMI and 2 x Component inputs, which would be nice and a slight 0.3" extension to the tube neck to try and get rid of the current lottery between those with a clunker and the rest of us with a good one).

If you're wondering which Sammy to get and you arent interested in waiting for an updated 419 then I'd go the extra and just get a Ws32z419d if I were you (integrated freeview HD ready TV).

Freeview will come in handy at some point (all too soon, no doubt) and personally I just found the prospect of moving to HD too appealing
(and once you do try it I can tell you it makes SD TV look [email protected].and I rate the Sammy as an excellent at showing SD TV compared to say a plasma or LCD TV).

The best advice I can think of is to check them all out with your own eyes (and if you're going for HD make sure they show you them operating at both HD and SD.....we'll all be watching a lot of SD for a long time to come no matter what happens).
