Samsung v Sony 32" LCD tv - which to throw money at?

Apologies to anyone who's been through this before - there's a great deal on the Samsung R88 32" for €899, well at least it seems great given the information that the shop is providing (surprise, surprise). Looking for a budget tv that I can watch the world cup on, connect to my 360 for games/dvds and connect to my laptop. It seems to have the connections I'm looking for but before splashing out just thought I'd see if there were any differences/preferences for similar priced tv's in the area - the ones that appeal are Sony 32S3000 and the Sony 32P2530 (although I'm reconsidering the latter since reading a few harsh reviews from AV Forums).

Thanks for any help.
:)

The only competitor of the R88 is the 32S3000!!Not the 32P2530.Very similar models, but when I saw them on shop the SD was a little better on the S3000 model. So generally I like the 32S3000 and suggest it!!
