Samsung Universal Remote (IR), Microlab Speaker control

Novice Member

I have a 2021 Samsung QN95A that is connected optically to a Microlab Solo 6C speaker set.

As I do not have volume control via optical, I wanted to set up the Universal Remote function to control the speakers via Samsung remote's IR signal.
I choose the "Home Theater" connection as "Optical".
Next, I find Microlab in the manufacturer list and I also find my exact model: "SOLO6C" but the power up test fails every time.

The Samsung remote emits IR signals, confirmed by checking with a phone camera but it seems that the codes are wrong, or there is another software issue.

The speakers are right besides the TV, I am standing about 1 meter from them, no obstacles in between.

Using the speakers' own IR remote, it all works well.

Contacting Samsung support, I was told that only HDMI sources are supported via Universal Remote function, via CEC. In this case why would IR controlled speakers are present in the IR codes database? Samsung reps were unable to reply.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
Please save me from using two remotes.

Thanks a lot!
