Firstly could some one please tell me what type of panel this tv uses and secondly i was watching a film on the tv with the black bars top and bottom and i noticed i could see all the leds along the bottom .Imo it is a good picture but is this normal ? and do all bottom lit led tvs do this ? thanks

99% certain it’s a VA panel.

Do you mean actually see the physical leds or see light coming from them?

it is the light ,you can not see anything when the black bars are not there and only a little when there is a dark picture on the screen .That i think is down to me having noticed them in the first place i am looking for them all the time now

Think there’ll always be a little light noticeable due to location and type of backlight. There’s a thread for 50” version of this model- you could ask in there re settings to minimise the issue.

The 6400 is VA so I reckon yours is too. Can’t find details to fully confirm but as far as I’m aware Samsung mainly use VA panels.
