hink i have narrowed down my selections to these three but totally dumbfounded what one to go for...

obviously 1 side lit LED, 1 backlit LED and 1 plasma... even been to shops today to see which ones i prefer and still cant decide... looking for opinions from here to help my final decision.

all are in my price range of 1500 pounds ish and all seem very nice stylish tvs...

leaning towards the LG...

Wish I could offer feedback on the newer LG... unfortunately I just bought the 47LE8900. Unless I'm mistaken, the model you're looking at includes 3D? I wasn't after a 3D set, so when I read the AVforums review on the LE8900 I was pretty much 85% sold. Its a very nice set, the SD has had pretty awful feedback in review but myself I've seen some very decent standard definition content coming through my virgin box. DVDs look good and although I haven't really done a lot of bluray viewing yet, what I have seen is formidable.

I don't have a lot of experience with HD sets, unfortunately; my last was a toshiba which rendered SD awfully and never saw an HD source in it's life, so the LG is a fantastic step up from this.

I was looking at the VT20 and also the V20 prior to purchasing, but reading so much regarding issues that people were suffering with the V20 and also the VT lead me to leap in with the LG.

There are also issues reported with the LE8900, but from what I understand going over the official thread, many of these seem to be related to the 55LE8900-not the 47" set.

If you can, audition the models you're keen on with a good content source, as was recommended to me by folks on the forums here. Bit depressing staring at an absolutely awful SD signal being shovelled through fifteen sets in currys shop window at the same time :) I think that some of the richer sounds stores have demonstration rooms where you can view the hardware, give it a go.
