Hi there, just wondered what the members on here think about upgrading a Samsung LE40M86BD to the new UE40B8000. is there any mileage in doing this, or is the improvement in picture quality not worth the £1200 or so price tag. Many thanks.

I don't know about the other one, but the clouding on the 8000 is awful so unless your current set suffers from the same thing I wouldn't bother. If you want a thin LED by the cheaper 7000 and live with the clouding with an extra 300 in your pocket!

Where did you buy yours? My second from Costco still suffers from clouding.

Got it from 1staudiovisual.co.uk

No issues with mine at all. If you have noticed the other thread, by sheer luck I seemed to be the first person on AVF to have one!
