Well I just pulled the trigger and bought the 60 inch version of the KS 7000 from John Lewis who seem to be the only store anywhere with stock at the moment and they've only had theirs 24 hours! Got to wait a week now for delivery! The PQI on this model is interesting 2,100 - 2,300 depending upon which website you view. Even at the lower end, 2,100, this exceeds all 2015 models except the top of the range 9500 series.

Found a dreaded dead pixel on my ks7000 today. Shame, have been enjoying the tv so far. Back it goes.

Saw the UE49KS7000 in Currys yesterday. They had a 4K demo running on it; I suppose all new sets do this. The set must be as thick as my Ipad! The picture quality was unnerving, almost unnatural but I suppose this is because this technology is nothing like anything before it. Would be interested to see how it handles upscaling of HD & SD souces. Def on my list for upgrade though!!

Off to pick up the UE55KS7000 from John Lewis tomorrow, I got them to price match and knock £150 off. Has anyone got any recommended settings for the picture? My old tv is 11 years old now, still half decent picture, that's plasma for you, a little nervous about LCD so we shall see!

There are some basic picture settings in the review of the curved screen KS7500 model (link above) these should be good enough to get you started. The single biggest tip appears to be changing the picture mode from Standard to Movie...The 55 inch set is getting great reviews, one I read said it was the best set currently available at the price.
My UE60KS7000 is being delivered by John Lewis tomorrow...cannot wait...

Please post what you think of it (picture, menus, apps, etc). I'm looking at getting the 49KS7000 next month and I'll be coming from a 40 dumb TV. The 49's outer dimensions are exactly the same as the 40 I have now.
I'm looking at the Samsung as it seems to be the only 50 inch or less TV with a 10 bit panel for HDR (it's got to last another 8 years so I want one with all the current features).

Has anyone got any pictures of either their KS7000 or KS8000 please? I'm considering either but want to check out what they look like 'in situ'. Also how is the backlight uniformity?

This is what JL price matched against:

I have looked into your request and will be happy to match the price of £1349.00 for the Samsung UE55KS7000 SUHD HDR 1,000 4K Ultra HD Quantum Dot Smart TV seen at District Electricals.

I've now got the TV from them, it's fantastic!!

      Hello all
i am going to get one of these, probably the 60 inch 7000. if possible does anyone know the space between the legs on the 60 inch to see if i can put it directly on my low cabinet
i am assuming by Steve's review, the 55 inch model which has a space of 112 cm for a 125 cm, so therefore the 60 inch would be 122 cm for a width of 132 cm but i would like an owner to measure for me to confirm
      thanks in advance

Interested in the KS7000, but need to know if I can get a longer cable for the One Connect box. I've seen a couple mentioned on other threads, but need confirmation that they work with the 2016 TV's and One Connect boxes.

      Can anyone help? [emoji106]

      Hi all,
Is there anyone out there a cordcutter and using Kodi (through an Android Box)on there KS7000. If so how does it handle SD content. I have a HD IPTV subscription so I usually keep clear of SD but some of the kids channels aren't HD that they watch and they look pretty poor on my old Pioneer Kuro which is only 720p. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these. Any info would be appreciated

Really fancy the KS7000 models, just need to decided on 49 or 55 inch.

Keep your feedback coming folks, would be good to know how you are getting on with them.

Got the UE49KS7000 and HW-K651 soundbar from Currys on Saturday. Mentioned longer warranty from Richer Sounds and the manager threw in 3 very high quality HDMI cables. This set literally takes my breath away. Some 4K stuff on youtube is awesome - I have never seen picture quality to this standard and that's straight from the box. It seems to improve by the hour.

Someone asked about slim wall mounts: I got the Sanus from Screwfix and with one reservation it is brilliant. Fixed bracket less than 1" deep and lockable but please note there is absolutely no vertical adjustment after the bracket is fixed to the wall - the vertical hole centres maximum of 400mm, same as tv vesa fixings. I also had to cut down the Samsung spacers supplied with the set to get TV closest to wall.

I looked at the 8000 which has refinements on motion and blacks, but the bezel spoiled it for me. It has a little slope which makes it much more prominent than the 7000 and that plus the £300 price difference could not justify it. The UE49KS7000 looks great switched off and when it's on you just have to stop and look, even in full daylight. I'm a very happy TV viewer, and my wife is too. And the bonus is we get £100 back soon from Samsung for buying the soundbar. The silver soundbar which we preferred is also cheaper than the black in Currys.

It is hard to imagine that this picture quality could be better, however someone may have some settings tweaks that might just lift it another notch. Please post if you do.

How far apart are the feet of the UE49KS7000?

The TV cabinet I've got is 1000mm wide and wondering if the 49" KS7000 will actually fit.

Anyone got any info on how these handle SD content. I'm assuming they will be better than my 10 year old Pioneer Kuro.
