Samsung UBD-K8500 and issues with Prime Video

Hi there

I have a UBK-K8500 HD player that sends audio to a DSP-A1 and video to an Optima projector.

When Prime Video changed the format to copy the NetFlix type of menu changing to a different movie, or sometimes pausing an ongoing one, would cause it to freeze and the only solution is to pull the power from the unit.

This behaviour doesn't occur with NetFlix or 4K/Blu-ray discs, just with Prime.

Samsung are not interested and talking to Amazon about any technical issues is as much use as the proverbial chocolate fire-guard.

Has anyone else come across this and found a workaround?

At the end of the day, it's not life threatening, just entertainment - and exiting Prime, powering down, restarting the unit and entering Prime again resolves the issue of starting a new movie but it's still rather annoying
