Samsung UA46B7000 in PC DVI mode

Standard Member
Hi, I have a Samsung UA46B7000 plugged into HDMI to the DVI output on a PC Video card at 1080p 60 Hz

I've spent ALOT of time over the last 6 months trying to address the Lag issues and picture quality. (out of game mode lag roughly 150ms, with game mode still >40ms).

Several people suggest to address the issue by renaming the source input to 'DVI PC', putting the TV into a special mode specifically for PC connection. However in DVI PC mode the colours lose a huge amount of vibrancy, the whole picture looks very very dark and faded.

Out of DVI PC mode and in game mode the lag is acceptable but black pixels against coloured backrounds have a white haloing/ghosting which makes text against coloured backrounds look horrible and images with adjacent black and light pixels look sandy/grainy.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone know how to make it work in 'DVI PC' mode (renamed input source) and not have ridiculously faded colours?

2. Alternatively does anyone know why out of DVI PC mode plugged into the PC the picture should be haloing white around black black pixels on grey/coloured backrounds? is there a way to fix this?

many thanks for any help!
