”dark screen” as in the picture is present but it's not bright enough?, or there is no picture at all, just a black screen?
How long have you had it and is it under guarantee?

I presume you've tried turning the brightness up?

Is the screen brighter in some areas than others or is it uniformly dark all over?

yes its dark all over

its like the brightness is trun right down

It's probably a backlight problem.
Look through the TV menu and see if there’s an option to reset the TV.

In that case it requires professional attention as in it needs looked at by a TV repairman.
