Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has encountered the same screen defect that has appeared on my Samsung NU40NU7120?
There appears to be a region of blurring near the lower edge of the TV, which isn't immediately apparent in certain light / glare conditions - but is much more obvious on a a blue background, say the Prime video home-screen. When looking really close, I can also make out some wording or symbol which looks like the word 'PERFECT' - I've never seen this before. It is visible when viewing Sky and playing Xbox on a separate HDMI input - but bizarrely, it disappears on the test screen shown when running the display diagnostic. I also loaded a white-screen video on You Tube, which seems fine.
I'm convinced that the screen hasn't been subjected to external damage, it has had a perspex screen protector in place since day one.
Does anyone have any clues, guidance or experience of something similar? I do have an extended warranty with the retailer (which does cover accidental damage, in case they try to argue that I've pranged it) - but just wondering if there's anything I could do at my end before going through the rigmarole of a claim.
All help appreciated! Cheers.
